When a student has a Google account, they have the means to create a digital portfolio that they can keep with them through the years. Here is a list of ideas that teachers can use to help students build digital portfolios.
- Students can create a presentation, gearing it towards a certain subject. Any piece of work that a student creates that is not digital, students can make a scan of the work. Save the scan as a PDF file and upload it the file.
- Video can be uploaded into Google accounts. Ideas that teachers and students could use for video include: reading a book (great to share at parent/teacher conferences), presenting a project to the class, and giving a video book report. Any videos taken by an iPad will need to be emailed to a computer before being uploaded to drive.
- When students create something worth remembering on the white board or Smartboard, take a picture of it and upload the picture to their Google account.
