Student engagement can be at its highest levels when students use technology to meet objectives. When students are allowed the opportunity to use technology in their classroom, they many times become completely engaged. Often times when students are using technology, they are creating something. When students are creating, they are using higher order thinking skills. Crane K-2 iPad Workshop

Hello Crane K-2 Teachers!
 
 
I am so excited to be here with you today.  It is my goal to help you feel more comfortable with your iPad.  I hope to share ideas with you on how you can use iPads to enhance student engagement.  Please feel free to ask questions and/or share ideas throughout our session.  First, I want to learn if there is anyway that I can help you use your iPad  Then, I will share ways  that you can integrate iPads into your curriculum to enhance student engagement.
 
 
First - a few basics:
 
Introduction to the iPad:
·         Home Button, Status Bar, Sleep/Wake, Volume Buttons, Microphone, Headphone Jack, Speaker, Dock Connector
·         Settings Features – rotation and keyboard
·         Make Folders
·         Move and Delete Apps
·         Quick access to used apps and save battery life
·         Screenshot
·         Camera – Gallery/Email
 
Second - integration (where the fun begins!)
